Our Eco-Hostel, Permaculture & Art

Permaculture in the sense we aim as much as possible to reach food self-sufficiency and doing exchanges with the neighbors farmers. We have one hectare of cacao that allows us to produce our own chocolate to which we add some honey, knowing we also have our ramiches beehives, they are native bees that produce a very healthy honey. We frequently harvest bananas, papayas, pineapples, oranges and we’re creating a fruit orchard with the idea to have at least one specie of each fruit from the region. Furthermore, we are reforesting the place with wood-producing trees and next to the houses we are shaping a medicinal garden with the variety of plants that are taken as remedy for the diet people to be able to connect directly with their plants while dieting and eventually learn how to harvest and cook them to prepare their own medicine.
But our vision of permaculture isn’t restricted to agriculture, it’s also a way of conceiving all the dimensions of our center : above all we want ours place to be designed as an art piece in itself, therefore in each aspect of the center we try to create something original that allows our visitors to find their deeper self and create at their turn.
While doing diet we give to our guest colored pencils or ecological paper to paint, knowing the creativity is increased during the diet for the fact to take the master plant, being isolated and eating very basic food, without salt neither spices that make you more open and sensitive to sounds, colors,animals…
